Through this policy we affirm our commitment to minimise any harmful effects our business activities may have on the environment.
In particular Classic Industries Europe Injection Moulding will:
- Implement an Environmental Management System.
- Meet and where appropriate exceed the requirement of relevant environmental legislation.
- Seek to reduce consumption of materials used in operations and promote re-use, recycling and the use of recycled materials.
- Ensure production of waste material is kept to a minimum and that it is disposed of in a safe and proper manner.
- Ensure all forms of pollution generated from our operations are minimised.
- Provide appropriate training for staff relating to their duties and responsibilities towards protecting the environment.
- Communicate our environmental commitment to suppliers, contractors and the public.
- Conduct business activities in a manner that creates the minimum disturbance to the local community and ecology.
- Set objectives and targets and implement programmes to achieve these.
- Routinely monitor progress against objectives and continually improve environmental performance.
Overall responsibility for the company’s environmental objectives is that of the General Manager. Senior Management is responsible for ensuring that suitable and sufficient resources are employed to achieve the objectives of this policy.
The protection of the environment is as important an issue as Health and Safety, Quality and Manufacturing Operations. This policy will be pursued with the ultimate diligence by the General Manager.
